About Us

LMBL Team

Living My Best Life is a collaboration between some of Peterborough's leading providers of medical, social, health, wellbeing advice.

Our philosophy is very simple, encourage our most "at risk" Peterborians to get out of the house, take part in any of the many sessions, classes and activities we will be providing and make some new friends!

All our activities will be accessible, affordable and achievable, more importantly, fun.

Why are we here and do what we do?

  •  There are 18 million people living with a long-term health condition in England alone

  • There are 9 million deaf or hearing-impaired people,

  • 1.2 million adults with a learning disability,

  • 8.5 million with arthritis, 10 million with a neurological condition within which many older people will be included.

  • 30% of 50–64-year-olds have an impairment, increasing to 78% cent of people aged 85 years and over.

  • It is common for disabled adults to acquire multiple impairments – for example,

  • 60% of the 400k wheelchair users in the UK will be affected by cardiovascular diseases due to inactivity.

  • Impairment is strongly related to age (only 17 per cent of disabled people are born with an impairment)

  • It is therefore essential to ensure that older people are encouraged to be more physically active to manage their disability/condition and continue living independently for as long as possible.

THERE ARE 10 MILLION DISABLED PEOPLE IN THE UK WHO REPRESENT 17% PER OF THE OVERALL POPULATION.

The Adult Social Care system is underfunded.

We are here to bridge the gap.

All of our Venues are a safe environment, Accessible and all activities are affordable and fun.

Socialising is a key element along with gentle exercises.

FREE Tea and Coffee will be provided at most venues and each session will cost no more than £3.00.
